What Gear do I Need to Alpine Ski?

There are a lot of options for alpine skiing gear in competitive skiing events that vary in style and capabilities , but here are the essentials you should have to downhill ski.

Skis

A pair of long narrow pieces of snow resistant material! Crucial for alpine skiing!

Ski Boots

Used to attach skis to the skier using ski bindings! The Ski/Boot/Binding combination is very effective!

Ski Helmet

Protect your head using a helmet! Should be a snug size.

Ski Hats/Beanies

Used to retain heat around your head, very crucial!

Ski Goggles

Keeps the reflection of sunlight from affecting your vision. Also used to protect your eyes from snow and high speed winds.

Ski Jacket

Keeps your body at a warm temperature! Make sure it is made out of a good insulating material.

Ski Pants

Same as Ski jacket, but protects your legs! Make sure to have the right size for your ski pants to allow the most range of motion in your lower body.

Ski Socks

Keeps your feet warm.

Gloves or Mittens

Retains heat in your hands. Gloves give more finger freedom while mittens provide more warmth.

Ski Poles

Water Bottle

Water: regulates temperature, prevents dehydration, helps with digestion, protects sensitive areas, detoxifies, and increases exercise performance!

Base Layers

MONT TREMBLANT
